🔥 Volvo XC60 2017 – KM100E OBD Success (NOT AKL, Add Key Only) 🔥
Today I successfully added a Semi-Smart key to a Volvo XC60 2017 (slot key, not full keyless) using Autel KM100 via OBD.
⏱ The “Reading / Decrypting IMMO data” process took approximately 8 full hours.
The screen stayed at 25000S the entire time with only the animated progress bar moving.
In the end it displayed:
✅ Copy CEM security data succeeded
✅ New key successfully learned
✅ IMMO backup (.bin ~32KB) automatically saved with VIN in the filename
⚠️ Important:
– This was NOT All Keys Lost
– It was only Add Key
– Vehicle already had 2 working keys
– Battery charger connected the whole time
Conclusion:
On some 2017 XC60 models the OBD process really can take the full 8 hours — but it works if you are patient and keep stable voltage.
